It is particularly important that men over the age of Bar Mitzvah fulfill the commandment of donning Tefillin as the observance of the mitzvah of Tefillin brings protection.Ateret Israel, Inc. is launching a program to offer Tefilin for those that cannot afford it at a fraction of price.

Ateret Israel, Inc. will offer a pair of Tefillin ($250.00 value) to any Jewish male  who does not already own his own kosher pair of Tefillin for a monthly Installment fee of $26.00.

What is a Mezuzah?
A Mezuzah is a parchment scroll that has been handwritten by a professional scribe. It contains two sections of the Torah that discuss the Jewish faith. Every Mezuzah, no matter how simple or elaborate the exterior casing may be, contains the exact same inscription, the Shema Yisrael: “Hear o’ Israel, the L-rd Our G-d, the L-rd is One.”

It is traditionally attached to the doorposts of a Jewish home. A ‘kosher’ Mezuzah can also bring protection and blessing – whether you are home or away – to all the people of Israel.
 

 How do I get one? 
Simply call 310-274-2526 and pay a fee of $30. (The deposit can be paid with a credit card, or (preferred) cash or check to Ateret Israel.  We will come your place to put up the mezuza.)
 

Important Note:
We believe that financial difficulty should never stand in the way of doing a Mitzvah. If for whatever reason the deposit poses a difficulty for you, please contact us for information about further subsidies.
